Neglected Beauty
This series celebrates the quiet workhorses of urban life... bicycles that have earned their patina through years of faithful service. I’m drawn to the ones most people pass by: rusted disc brakes, weathered leather saddles, frames softened by time and the elements.

Each photograph is an intimate study of texture and resilience, a meditation on how oxidation becomes ornament, how wear becomes distinction, how neglect can, paradoxically, reveal character. These aren’t pristine showroom machines but street-side companions, locked to poles and leaned against walls, still doing their job despite — or perhaps because of — their imperfections.

Shot mostly in black and white, the series focuses on form, shadow, and the sculptural presence of the overlooked. Occasional colour frames catch the warmth of late light on chrome, or reflections in rain-washed paint — small, luminous gestures that turn the forgotten momentarily beautiful.

At its heart, 'Neglected Beauty' is a quiet documentary — a reverent look at objects that serve without seeking notice, enduring the city one ride at a time.
