Anatomy of an Image
an insight into how My digital watercolours are made...
"The process of editing is what I enjoy most - putting the pieces together and making sense out of them."
Christian Marclay
So if you have read my previous posts on the 'Memory of Trees' you will know two things. I have an interest in trees our relationship to them and I like the process of layering as it maps how the human brain makes memories.
Some things you may not know are that I think native scrub lands are simultaneously beautiful and incredibly frustrating. I love how the light falls through the canopy of a gum tress but I fine them difficult to shoot to my satisfaction.
The original image below was taken in part because I was looking for images to record the time my extended family all spent here over Christmas, but also because I love the subtleness of the dappled light.
